Community Notice from Breedon Ireland

? Prince William Roadworks are progressing well on site and we have made good progress despite challenging weather.

? We now have the majority of drainage and new kerb lines established.

? You might also notice the vehicle restraint system (steel crash barrier) has been installed recently behind the new road kerb.

? The underpass was reopened as planned at the start of November.

? In the lead up to Christmas, further traffic management on the Prince William Road is prohibited to avoid causing any further congestion during the busy holiday period.

? The next phase of the project will commence in January 2024 which will include a banned right turn into/out of Ballymacash-Prince William Road Junction.

We appreciate this work will cause disruption, however it is necessary to keep our teams, road users and pedestrians safe during the works, and are working closely with DFI and stakeholders to minimise the disruption these works will cause.

❗️See attached traffic management plan and diversion route due to commence on w/c Monday 8th January.

? The existing road pavement on Prince William Road requires significant works to cater for the new widened road sections, and major infrastructure is required to make the junction fully signalised with pedestrian crossings.

? Works include installing 3 new traffic islands and over 40 items of infrastructure for the new signalisation works.

? There are a number of items that can cause unplanned delays to projects of this nature, however we remain on schedule to complete the project by May 2024.
