The next phase of our community project journey began on Monday 19th June as the ground was broke on the start of Phase 2. The contractors – Leo Matheson Ltd came on site with all machinery and it won’t be long before the whole community can access the new facilities for a wide range of activities in our community sports hub. Please check our social media pages for regular updates on the build.
It is important that all our users to pay particular attention to the important information below.
Important Announcement
Construction Work will begin on Monday 19th June on Phase 2 of the new Community Sports Hub Building at The Bluebell.
This is a large scale project and will increase the potential risks at The Bluebell due to the type of plant machinery that will be on site, and reduced space surrounding the construction site.
All users must abide by the following while using the facility during the construction phase.
Car Parking will be limited until completion of the new car park (estimated completion date w/c 3rd July)
Please walk to facility if possible or use alternative car parking at Supervalu shops or QE2 Playing Fields.
Avoid parking in neighbouring streets and please show consideration to residents.
No parking under any circumstances in the area highlighted in yellow cones. This is an emergency vehicle access and must be kept clear
There will be 1 Disabled parking space available, please ensure that this space is left for a disabled badge holder
Only those as part of a booking for organised matches or training can use the 3g pitch during the construction phase.
No unaccompanied children will be allowed entry to the facility under any circumstances during the construction period.
